              Review

True Tube is a video based website where young people can debate moral issues in a safe environment. A few short videos introduce the debate and then young people can get involved by uploading their own videos and discussing the issues on a message board.

The site is carefully moderated and no videos or comments appear on the site until they have been checked. You have to be 16 or above to register, so this seriously limits the number of the people who are able to get involved in the discussions.

True Tube doesn’t just enable young people to think and discuss the issues; it also encourages young people to get involved. To this end it profiles several TearFund initiatives.

This site isn’t primarily about getting young people to ‘engage with biblical truth’, however, the issues being explored are important, they’re issues that young people are talking about and they’re issues that the Bible has plenty to say about. Therefore, you may like to encourage those in your youth group to get involved in the debates that are taking place on True Tube and explore with them what the Bible has to say on the various issues that are raised.
