Lee Strobel’s widely acclaimed book The Case for Christ is now available in a version aimed at young people.  Strobel, an award-winning legal journalist with a knack for asking tough questions, decided to investigate Jesus for himself.  As an atheist and a cynic he was convinced he would be able disprove the central claims of Christianity.  However, things didn’t go according to plan!

The book takes the reader on Strobel’s personal journey.  He rejected God at the age of 14 when he learnt about evolution at school.  His life was going well – a happy marriage and a job as a successful journalist.  Then, after his wife became a Christian, he began to explore the evidence about Jesus.  He discovered that the evidence does seem to suggest that Jesus is God, that the Bible is a trustworthy book, that it does appear that Jesus did rise from the dead; and he realised that if this is all is true it has massive implications for how we should live our lives.

This book makes a gripping read and effectively combines personal story with evidence from history, science, psychiatry, literature and religion.  It’s a book for young people with an average reading ability who are inquisitive about the claims of Jesus.  It’s also a great book for those who want to get a good grasp on the evidence to equip themselves to answer some of the questions that people frequently ask.
