Lyfe - connecting God, life and us.

Lyfe (Life Your Faith Encounters)‘I’ll be there for you…’

As the Rembrandts sang the now legendary theme tune, millions tuned in, week by week, for another episode of the world’s favourite sitcom – Friends.

Often episodes would feature Ross, Rachel, Monica and the rest drinking coffee at Central Perk, musing on one of the group’s latest dilemmas…

Lyfe (Life Your Faith Encounters) is a bold new experience from Bible Society especially (but not exclusively) for the Friends generation.

Lyfe is

...friends meeting in their favourite coffee shop, discussing life – and engaging with the Bible.

...connecting God, life and us.

...hearing God speak through the Bible.

...for people who struggle to read the Bible, yet are hungry to discover what God is saying about daily life and the world we live in.

...based on the radical idea that through Christ everyone can hear God speak.

As Lyfe groups meet in a public place (café, restaurant or pub) they follow a simple pattern:

  • Read – the Bible passage individually, watching for key words or phrases
  • Reflect – share your thoughts and ask questions
  • Respond – agree on practical action and pray together
